AFSBox is a web application, aiming to give you access to your AFS folders and projects. AFSBox is a software engineered and released to ENEAGRID users in the framework of ENEAGRID/CRESCO clusters and financed by "Edoc@WORK 3.0" - PON MIUR "Smart Cities and Communities and social Innovation".
You should use AFSBox to download or upload data to the enea.it AFS cell or to share folder on which you are an administrator with ENEAGRID or external users. You can also bookmark your preferred folder if necessary.
Basically, every ENEAGRID member can use AFSBox. So, simply put in your username and password, and enjoy! :-)
Basically, you can dowload a file from AFS by clicking on it. Consider that you can't download an entire folder.
There are two ways to upload files:
Basically, you can share a folder that you own as administrator with ENEAGRID user (by using their username) or external users (by using their email). This can be done by clicking on the folder with the right mouse button in the contextual menu. Your collaborators will receive an email with instruction to access to AFSBox and they will get the relative path saved as bookmark. Consider that you can't share only a file because of AFS Access Control List (ACL). You can unshare a folder manually or can unshare at a defined date (only for external users). Please see the "share" window for more details
As you click on the contextual menu (mouse right-click), you can also rename, move or delete items in your current directory, if it is allowed by your ACL.
